My love of photography grew when my dad presented me with my first SLR camera at the age of 12. He taught me the fundamentals of photography, how to look at light and what settings to use for different applications, back then I had no idea of the power of photography. I learned much later in life that a photograph can have a profound affect on you. I discovered that I had an eye for composition (although at the time I didn’t know what it was called) and I went on to immerse myself completely in the art of photography. I am grateful to be able to photograph the beauty that surrounds us. People, places and things that make ordinary life interesting.

“Photography is an extension of the human eye and mind. A way to preserve not only a fleeting moment in time but also a memory or emotion.” ~Neal Thorley
